About Us

Goodwill Charity Foundation (GCF) was founded in 2021 by Rev. Joanson Zahariya with the vision of helping vulnerable young women become financially independent and self-reliant. Over the years, it has expanded into a full-fledged charitable organization that impacts hundreds of lives. Almost every initiative from GCF includes a training and education component. We strongly believe that by equipping the vulnerable with new skills, we empower them to lift themselves out of poverty and sustain their independence. We serve beneficiaries on a needs-basis irrespective of their caste, creed, or religious beliefs. GCF does not receive government funding. Our main source of funding is the generous contributions of individual donors like you. We are registered as a Trust under the Tamil Nadu Trust Act. We are Christ-centred organization, we encourage staff to emulate Christ in selfless service. We reach out to all people with love and compassion, irrespective of their caste, creed, or religious preferences, with no strings attached. We pursue excellence, uphold high standards of integrity and excellence in our professional lives. We encourage staff to keep abreast with industry-recognized best practices, so we can serve beneficiaries in the best possible way. We seek to minimize our administrative overheads and ensure that every project gets adequate financial support. Our financial transactions are regularly audited and available for review.

"Leadership is about finding your unique blueprint and expressing that courageously, confidently, and vulnerably." / "Leadership really comes down to two fundamental things and if you get them right, then you’re 80 percent of the way there. The first one is establishing the vision for a team; the second one is establishing a culture for your organization that helps contribute to mission success. " / " The miracle is not that we do this work, but that we are happy to do it." / “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” / "It is not what we get. But who we become, what we contribute that gives meaning to our lives." / "There is no better way to thank God for your sight than by giving a helping hand to someone in the dark." / "When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it also helps us develop inner happiness and peace".
Our Vision

Every person has the opportunity to achieve his/her fullest potential and participate in and contribute to all aspects of life. To create life methodology that makes life better for everyone, everywhere, every person, every village and every community around the world. This motivates us – inspires us – to serve us – what we serve.

Our Mission

To improve our village families, women with children in the communities, we serve through education, health, resources and opportunity.

Child Welfare

Child sponsorship allows donors to invest meaningfully into the lives of individual children. Sponsors help meet the expenses of the child’s education, besides contributing to their overall well-being. Children get regular access to nutritious food, regular medical check-ups, and even personality development classes. We are in constant touch with the child through our social work and organized monthly meetings. Children are sponsored through our in-house sponsorship program as well as through the supporters. We ensure that the entire amount is used to benefit the child. Sponsors are encouraged to visit and interact with their sponsored children. Sponsor visits and other forms of communication with the sponsor are eagerly looked forward to both by the sponsor and child!

Siloam Healthcare Centre

Planning to establish “The Siloam Healthcare Centre”. The centre is a 24/7, full-fledged hospital and its well-equipped catering to those from economically vulnerable backgrounds. There will be two full-time doctors and two part-time specialists, most of whom are associated with the centre from a sense of service. Consultation fees are nominal. In cases where patients are from financially-weak backgrounds, treatment costs are completely waived off. It will be a well-equipped laboratory, X-ray unit, scanning facility, physiotherapy, dentistry, ophthalmology and maternity departments, Siloam Healthcare makes private hospitalization affordable for all.

Siloam Home for the Aged

Old age makes the financially weaker sections of society even more vulnerable than before. When they are no longer in a position to contribute to the family, the elderly are often neglected. Siloam Home for the Aged is an upcoming project that is being constructed at a quiet suburb near Pallikonda, Vellore. The home aims to provide a secure and healthy haven for the elderly from different walks of life. Complying with all the guidelines and recommendations of the Government, Siloam Home will offer residents hygienic and secure accommodation, nourishing food and above all immediate access to medical care. Medical facilities will be made available on campus and regular health check-ups will ensure pre-emptive treatment.

Medical camps

Monthly medical camps are held in various rural areas and slums, at the Leprosy rehabilitation project and the Community development project. The programs focus on the holistic rehabilitation of leprosy survivors and their families, many of whom have been isolated due to stigma. The end goal is to help them integrate into mainstream society. The residents of the hostel and old age home also receive medical care through routine health check-ups. Those with health issues receive timely care through the Siloam Health Centre. While the healthcare centre generally provides subsidized treatment, expenses are completely waived for those who cannot afford it.

Nutritional Support

On a monthly basis, vulnerable beneficiaries from various programs are provided with essentials. This is a supportive ministry that seeks to meet the basic needs of vulnerable families at a critical juncture. Many of them are seeking to build their own skills and support themselves through various livelihood projects. By meeting their most basic needs, we ensure that they are able to focus on the long-term goal of building skills and becoming competent in a profession, rather than working to fulfil their immediate needs.

The community development

The community development project at Bramanamangalam stemmed from the desire to help families that had been struck by the Corona 2020. With the generous contribution of donors, GCF was able to support more than 100 families by providing ration items and groceries. Planning to start daily creche looks after young kids while the parents earn their livelihood to shoe factories. Creche facilities are available for children under 5, ensuring that the women are able to work and at the same time support their families. A tailoring and handicraft unit equips young girls and women with the skills they need to contribute to their family income. In short, the adopted village has evolved into a model community. The women and their spouses are also counselled on how to deal with domestic problems, counselled on the importance of education and encouraged to send their children to school. Educating and empowering the less privileged through integrated methods and initiating and implementing progressive social change. We want to see an India where every child gets an education, every youth an opportunity to succeed, and every woman the right to equality.
